The National Executive Committee is the highest day-to-day body within the FSN. Its responsibilities include co-ordinating all national activities within the FSN; deciding on fund-raising activities; and liaising with the SNP to ensure that the issues that face students today are included at the top of the Government's agenda.

The NEC is of course lead by the National Convener, Richard Laird.
